What it is

The dashboard is the first page after sign-in. It puts "what needs me now" first and "where is my money" next, then the figures and charts below. It has three pages under the Dashboard menu:

  • Overview — attention list, cash position, key figures, sales trend, buying and selling pipelines and inventory intelligence.
  • Accounting — profit and loss, the last 12 months, where the money went, biggest expenses, the balance position and cash and bank accounts (when accounting is on).
  • Cash flow — cash position, a forecast, money coming in and money going out.

Every figure is a link: it opens the list or report behind it, filtered to the same items and period.

Who it is for

  • Owners who want the state of the business at a glance
  • Managers who start the day from what is overdue or waiting
  • Bookkeepers watching receivables, payables and cash
  • Buyers watching stock-outs and what to reorder

Step by step#

  1. Open Dashboard › Overview.
  2. Work through Needs your attention — select a line to open the filtered list behind it.
  3. Read the Cash and bank panel for your cash position and its recent change.
  4. Open Sales trend and choose 7D, 30D or 3M.
  5. Choose Customise to reorder or hide sections, then Save layout.

The overview, section by section#

Needs your attention

A short list built from your own data: invoices overdue, bills overdue, purchase orders waiting for approval, orders to ship or invoice, packed parcels waiting for dispatch, items to reorder before they run out, courier reports that differ from the invoice, problems the nightly books check found, and — for a new business — Set your opening balances. Badges at the top count what is overdue, waiting for approval and worth watching.

Cash and bank

The total in your cash and bank accounts, its change and a small trend line, with two supporting figures beneath.

Key figures and pinned figures

Key figures shows the headline numbers. Add a figure pins any report figure to the dashboard, and A starter set for your role adds a ready-made set.

Sales trend, pipelines and balances

  • Sales trend — sales by day over the period you choose.
  • Buying pipeline and Selling pipeline — documents waiting at each stage.
  • Balances and stock — what customers owe, what you owe and the value of stock.

Inventory intelligence and analysis

What sells, what is stuck and what to act on. Items are ranked A, B and C by consumption value (A until 80 % of the total, B until 95 %, C after), with each item's available stock, reorder point, suggested quantity, estimated cost and source. The figures come from the nightly planning run, so they are the same for everyone who opens the page.

Arranging the dashboard#

  • Customise — drag sections to reorder them (or use the arrow keys), untick to hide, then Save layout. Reset goes back to the standard layout.
  • Apply to me (or a team member) — the owner can set the layout for someone else.
  • Focus hides everything but the content; each section can be folded.
  • Updated just now refreshes the figures.

Getting started card#

For the owner of a new business, the overview also shows a Getting started card: either a suggested business type to set up as, or a checklist of first steps. Steps tick themselves when the data shows they are done (see Getting started).

Who sees what#

Figures follow each person's rights: stock value needs the right to see costs, and Dashboard › Accounting appears only when accounting is on for the business.

How it posts to the books#

The dashboard reads only; it never posts anything.

Questions#

Why is a figure on the dashboard different from my report?

Check the period and location. A dashboard link opens the list with the same period and filters, so you can compare the same rows.

Can I set one layout for my whole team?

The owner can apply a layout to each team member with Apply to me (or a team member).

Why is the dashboard empty for a new business?

Its figures come from your documents. Once you add products, record purchases and make sales, the sections fill in.
